2020

Foundation

Black Research Network established at University of Toronto with a vision to unite researchers and communities for impactful change.

2022

First Symposium

Hosted inaugural BRN Research Symposium bringing together over 200 researchers, community leaders, and practitioners.

2024

IGNITE Grant Launch

Introduced BRN IGNITE Grant program providing $92,750+ in funding for innovative public health research projects.

2026

Global Expansion

Expanded partnerships to 50+ countries with landmark collaborations including University of the West Indies research funding.
